Addressing the staggering number of uninsured is undoubtedly one of the biggest challenges facing California and the nation. Of the growing 6.5 million uninsured Californians, more than one million are children. NHF has been and continues to be a leader in ensuring that all children and their families have access to appropriate healthcare coverage. Known for the high quality curricula it develops and information it provides, NHF is regarded as the preeminent training agency in Los Angeles County. Through the dissemination of comprehensive information about healthcare coverage programs statewide, trainings and technical assistance, NHF works to achieve the goal of reducing the number of uninsured families.
