The Recuperative Care Center located in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, provides hospitals a discharge option for homeless patients who are not sick enough to remain in the hospital, but too sick for a shelter. It is estimated that patients are kept up to three to four extra days in the hospital, due to insufficient availability of appropriate beds.

The Recuperative Care Center provides the homeless patient:
  •    •  A clean and safe environment to recover
  •    •  Basic medical oversight and custodial care
  •    •  Connection to supportive services and housing options
