| With funding from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, NHF provided case management to 815 pregnant teens and single women at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Over 82% continued care through the post partum period, far exceeding the goal of 60%. The case manager worked long hours to insure that women were linked to the support services they needed. All the births exceeded the year 2000 goals for birth weight. |
